The Next IT Girl is a non profit organization mission to educate, mentor, and advance young women of color to pursue technology careers. We are bridging the gap of race and gender to increase the representation in the tech industry. We provide technical resources and programs to support technology exposure for underrepresented girls of color to learn technology.
We serve
To close the gender and racial gap by providing technical programs, technology resources, community involvement, and career readiness for African American, Black, and young women of color ages 8-22 who are interested in technology.
Our greatest accomplishment last year
Launched two new programs and secured two corporate sponsors for our Cybersecurity programs.

Our ideal candidate
Selected Board Member will have served or currently serving in the nonprofit sector focused on nonprofit leadership, scaling, and development. working in nonprofit organizations with at least 3 years directing a key operations function Knowledge of nonprofit business models, including, nonprofit membership organization delivers (best practices), nonprofit recruitment strategies and engagement strategies, and growth.
