NAMI Pinellas is dedicated to improving the mental health and quality of life of individuals and their families affected by mental illness through education, support, and advocacy.
We serve
NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Pinellas supports individuals & loved ones affected by mental illness so that they can build better lives. What started as a small group of families gathered around a kitchen table in 1979, has blossomed into the nation’s leading voice on mental health. Today, we are in our community to raise awareness, train peers, and provide support and education for the one in five individuals affected by a mental health condition.
Our greatest accomplishment last year
NAMI Pinellas has achieved remarkable milestones recently, including a highly successful 2024 NAMIWalks event that saw a staggering 357% increase in participants and a 195% boost in funds raised. The organization also seamlessly transitioned to a new office space, celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that drew significant community attention. A comprehensive strategic plan was developed, outlining a clear path for growth over the next three years. Additionally, NAMI Pinellas implemented new programmatic initiatives and improved data collection methods to better track outcomes. The organization obtained provider certification with the Florida Certification Board to enhance peer services and funding opportunities and made key staff additions to elevate program quality and administrative efficiency. Strategic relationship-building and speaking engagements further expanded NAMI Pinellas’s community presence and impact.
