Our mission is...Our Mission: Project 180 seeks to reintegrate former offenders into community life. Our Vision: To reduce poverty, homelessness, unemployment, and criminal behavior among formerly incarcerated citizens.
We serve...We serve incarcerated and formerly incarcerated citizens through programs in local jails and prisons and the community at large through our annual lecture series on prisoner reentry.
Our greatest accomplishment last year was...Raising almost $100,000 to open a residential program for men

Serving on our board will be awesome for you because Project 180's Mission and Vision are unique, even in the criminal justice field. You'll meet incarcerated and formerly incarcerated citizens and have the satisfaction of helping turn them their lives around.

Project 180's programs are extremely practical and, to our knowledge, unduplicated. We have solid financial footing, maintain excellent relationships with community leaders, and engage in meaningful partnerships with other agencies, nonprofits, and businesses. Our Board Chair has decades of experience in the nonprofit world and, since we're fairly small, each board member's voice is heard and valued.

Our ideal candidates are

Our current board size is...Currently, 5 members sit on our board
We meet (when and where)...We meet on the third Thursday of each month in Sarasota from 4:15 to 5:45. This is flexible to a degree.
The time commitment is...The time commitment is between two and six hours monthly.
