Overview of our Board History/Culture:
In 2018, Carrollwood Players began a transition from an operational board (handling the day-to-day operational needs of our organization) to a governance board (focusing on high level strategic planning, fundraising, financial oversight, policy, mission development and more.)
We now have a full-time Managing Director and a part-time Manager of Production and Finance who handle most of our day-to-day operations, and hope to add additional professional staff as we continue to grow.
As we approach the realization of this gradual transition, we have built a current 6-member board comprised of individuals with expertise in fundraising, financial planning, public relations, legal matters, and other professional skills needed by a busy, growing nonprofit.
We currently seek additional members to help us continue to build a board with a rich diversity of backgrounds, perspectives, skills, and experiences inside and outside of the arts.
