you will join a dynamic and passionate group of people who are committed to developing paid staffing for our Helpline and getting our Housing Program up and running. This Board is highly collaborative and seeks to encouraged new members to bring their ideas to help implement and expand the current mission.
|Our ideal candidate is...|
Committed to grassroot level organizing and passionate about supporting college students and/or addressing the problem of homelessness in our community. We are in the start-up phase of our program development and need individuals with a variety of experiences and skill sets who can commit and average of 5-10 hours monthly to in support of program development.
|Our current board size is...||Currently we have 3 active Board members, but are seeking to expand adding 4-7 additional Directors.|
|We meet (when and where)...||Official Board meetings, currently, take place virtually during alternating months. Between Board meetings, Directors are asked to support the collaborate with and support the volunteer staff around specific projects based on experience, interest or skill set. The volunteer executive team meets weekly to work on operations matter and program implementation.|
|The time commitment is...||Board members are expected to prepare for and attend all bi-monthly Board meeting which range from 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on the agenda (posted in advance). Directors are also asked to contribute skills, experience and support to help move projects along between meetings with an average of 5 hours per month in addition to Board meeting.|
