During these engaging and interactive sessions, you’ll explore case studies and learn best practices for board structure and practices, board member roles and responsibilities, and financial and legal oversight. You’ll also build an invaluable network of nonprofit leaders that you can consult anytime.

Take a deeper dive into what makes rock star boards work so well. Learn about the most efficient and effective ways to utilize committees and run your meetings. What exactly is an executive committee meeting, anyway? And when do you call one? What do those financial reports mean? What questions should you be asking?  Emily Benham, FAHP, CFRE, and Dr. Maureen Butler, PhD, CPA, will share the processes and information that rock star boards need to operate at peak efficiency and greatest impact.

After this session, you’ll understand:

  • How to plan and run a successful meeting
  • The board’s role in financial oversight
  • Your nonprofit’s financial statements
  • Budgeting and cash flow management
  • Audits and IRS filings
