The case for support tells the story of your organization in a compelling manner and articulates the reasons a donor should support your cause. A case for support is critical to distinguishing your organization from other nonprofits and for making sure that your staff and board are all conveying the same message.
As a result of this two-session program you will learn to:
- Find the words that paint a compelling picture of your organization
- Write a case for support
- Develop case statements for individual programs/projects
- Present your case for support to others
- Engage board members and prospects in the development of your case
You will leave the first session with the skills and tools to begin drafting your organization’s case for support and case statements. At the second session you will have the opportunity to present your case to a group and receive valuable feedback. At the conclusion of the two sessions, you will leave with a well-developed draft of a case for support that will become invaluable in your fundraising efforts.
Who should attend: Professionals at all levels can benefit from this program. Executive directors, development directors, program staff, board members, and volunteer managers…anyone with the responsibility of securing resources for an organization.
What to bring: To maximize your in-class experience, please bring your mission statement, existing case for support or case statements (even if they are out of date), and your creativity and enthusiasm.
Join us for this program as Sara Leonard, MBA, CFRE guides you through the elements of a winning fundraising strategy.
