Learn what those tools are, who needs to be involved, how to gather historic knowledge about your organization, synthesis it and utilize it, to get you started.
Understand the methodologies of information intake and how to create a strategic plan that involves all categories of constituents; giving them voice and engagement in your process. Contemplate the economic, social, technological and demographic trends that will shape the outcome.
Join our newest NLC trainer, Terry Marks and experience case studies of organizations that made their plans come to life and fulfill and grow their missions. Share within a group dynamic, your challenges and opportunities for planning. Gain the knowledge from this strategic planning overview, what it will take to embark on this path and how to create a plan that is user friendly, flexible and produces results.
Wall Street gave Terry Marks the opportunity to initiate growth for companies that included Fortune 500 to those nonprofits that serve our communities. After 15 years on Wall Street, Terry decided to launch her nonprofit career, as a publisher of an environmental magazine for children. This ignited the spark to be mission driven. Terry focused her energies on creating and implementing dynamic plans for nonprofit organizations, that produced results. She has raised millions of dollars through innovative and distinct methodologies. From capital campaigns to cause related marketing, strategic plans to grant writing, team building and board building, Terry is driven to create success for her clients and most importantly those that they serve.
Terry has been honored at Outstanding Woman Executive (United Way Award), lectured for American Express, Vassar College and taught at the Center for Non-Profit Management in Los Angeles for over 10 years, as well as UCLA and the University of Southern California. She has been an advocate for nonprofit professionals by sharing her four R’s, namely: Risk, Rejection, Resiliency and Results. She believes that nonprofit professionals benefit from accessing their imagination and inspiration. There are no limits!
Terry’s commitment to excellence by producing revenue is equal to her commitment to the greater good. Her lifetime goal is to combine the best business practices to serve community needs, thereby enhancing the bottom line and building organizations with heart, substance and soul.
