This brand-new class will build on what you learned about the meta-skill of Connection at the 2018 Leadership Conference—although attendance at that event is not a pre-requisite.
NLC trainer and consultant Margarita Sarmiento will lead you and your team through foundational theories and best practices in team building and provide you with examples of innovative and low-cost ways to help your staff get to know each other and build bonds and connections.
Research shows us that connected teams get more done! When individual members feel they are seen, heard, and understand, that they work in an accepting/inclusive and collaborative environment, they are happier, healthier, and more productive.
Forget the old team building tactics that include arranging transportation for 30 individuals and knowing that half the people don’t want to be at the ropes course, or the ballgame, or the escape room. These are experiences you can share in the office, during regularly scheduled meetings or events, with little to no cost—but BIG REWARDS for individuals and the organization.
You’ll leave with:
- Ideas for low-cost, high-return ways to connect people at work
- Knowledge of what tactics do and don’t work
- Reasons why teams fall apart
- An understanding of why it is so important that we forge connections at work
This class is perfect for HR staff, team leaders, program, directors, volunteer managers, entire teams, and any single professional who wants to improve their work environment.
