Fundraising is one of the most important things your nonprofit organization does. This course is your starting point for fund development. This active-learning course will provide an understanding of the language and practice of fundraising.
Fundraising 101 will provide you with the basic skills and an understanding of fund development. Join Sara Leonard and learn these skills that will allow you make a larger impact, no matter your position in the organization.
In this program you will:
- Learn key fundraising terms and concepts
- Understand and begin drafting your development plan
- Learn how to develop and use a case for support
- Learn to engage all organization staff, board and donors in reaching development goals
- See the importance of stewardship and best practices in donor relations
Who should attend: This program is designed for those who are not experienced in fundraising (0-3 years of experience) but have responsibility or share responsibility for the fund development efforts of their organizations and would benefit from enhanced knowledge of solid fund development practices, procedures, and tools.
Attending this class earns you a Certificate in Fund Development Fundamentals.
CFRE Continuing Education Points
Full participation in this program is applicable for 6.5 points in Category 1.B – Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.

NLC/Children’s Board of Hillsborough County No-Show Policy – effective July 1, 2018
The Children’s Board of Hillsborough County (CBHC) has asked NLC to reframe our no-show policy for their providers.
Effective July 1, CBHC-funded organizations using codes to claim CBHC-funded seats at NLC trainings or events will be responsible for payment of registration and processing fees in the event of a no-show. Please read the full no-show policy here.
