To succeed in today’s competitive grant writing environment, fundraisers and nonprofit professionals must practice and master critical skills to develop winning proposals. Now, you can take your career and impact to the next level by obtaining your Certificate in Grant Writing.

During this interactive, four-day certificate program designed for those who are new to grant writing or have little or no grant writing experience, you will learn best practices for developing winning grant proposals from grant writing expert Jule Colvin.

Session 1: Narratives and Outcomes
Learn how to develop a toolkit, write a grant narrative and set measurable and reliable outcomes.

Session 2: Budget and Research
Receive the tools to develop a program budget, participate in live exercises and learn the various resources available to conduct grant research specific to your organization.

Session 3: Grants Management
Writing the grant is only the first step of the funding process. This session will address the “now what?” of grants and provide insight on how to manage grantor relationships and expectations.

Session 4: Grant Application Review and Feedback
Local grant experts will evaluate the grant proposal you’ve been developing during this program and provide helpful feedback on how you can improve.

Participants must attend all 4 sessions and complete assignments to receive the Certificate in Grant Writing. You must attend session 1 in order to continue to subsequent sessions! Other missed sessions may be made up at a future offering of the course.
