SCRUM is a methodology that helps organizations manage a project faster and more effectively.
Our half-day SCRUM Fundamentals course with NLC trainer Mark McCatty is designed to introduce nonprofit professionals to key concepts in SCRUM and the mechanics of how using this framework results in successful projects.
This fundamentals course is recommended for anyone in your organization who participates in or leads a team tasked with project management.
Upon completion of this 4-hour course, you have the option of participating in an online e-learning SCRUM course and taking the SCRUM Fundamentals Certified exam to confirm that you have a basic understanding of the SCRUM framework. On passing the exam, you will be accredited as “Scrum Fundamentals Certified.” You will also be provided with 10 Professional Development Units (PDUs) approved by the Project Management Institute.
Trainer Mark McCatty has nearly 20 years proven management experience in manufacturing and production environments. And as a consultant, Mark has helped numerous organizations in Higher Education and Public and Private Sector enterprises create high-involvement, participative work environments. His focus in on assisting organizations to develop strong leadership and teaming practices and behaviors that contribute to a collaborative and results-focused environment.

NLC/Children’s Board of Hillsborough County No-Show Policy – effective July 1, 2018
The Children’s Board of Hillsborough County (CBHC) has asked NLC to reframe our no-show policy for their providers.
Effective July 1, 2018 CBHC-funded organizations using codes to claim CBHC-funded seats at NLC trainings or events will be responsible for payment of registration and processing fees in the event of a no-show. Please read the full no-show policy here.
