Summary: This position is responsible for expanding Champions for Children’s impact by building and nurturing relationships with community partners, corporations, and volunteers. The Community Partnership Associate will play a critical role in driving fundraising efforts, including in-kind support and corporate sponsorships, while also supporting special events to elevate CFC’s profile as a leading advocate for children and families in Tampa Bay. This role requires a dynamic and proactive individual with strong communication and organizational skills, along with a passion for community engagement and development. This position reports to the Director of Development.

 

Duties/ Responsibilities:

Development & Fundraising:

·        Identify, cultivate, and secure relationships with corporate sponsors and community partners to drive financial support and in-kind donations.

·        Development and implementation of a Volunteer Engagement plan that includes strategies to increase volunteer engagement and align volunteer resources with organizational needs.

·        Collaborate closely with the Development and Communications teams to design and execute fundraising campaigns and initiatives.

Database Management

·        Maintain and update donor and volunteer records in the organization’s CRM system, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

·        Enter and track all interactions, donations, and volunteer activities, and generate reports to monitor engagement and support targeted outreach efforts.

·        Regularly review and clean the database to remove duplicates, update outdated information, and ensure compliance with data protection policies.

·        Collaborate with the Development and Communications teams to analyze CRM data, identify trends, and support strategic planning for fundraising and community engagement initiatives.

Community Engagement:

·        Represent CFC at community events, networking opportunities, and public speaking engagements to promote the organization’s mission and initiatives.

·        Oversee the implementation of community initiatives such as the Holiday Toy Drive, Talk-Read-Sing book nooks & drives,  and Community Council, ensuring their continued growth and success.

·        Engage and manage volunteers, ensuring they are well-integrated and motivated within the organization.

Event Support:

·        Work collaboratively with the events team to plan and execute special events that raise awareness and funds for CFC.

·        Assist in securing sponsorships, in-kind donations, and volunteers for events.

·        Provide logistical support during events, ensuring they are successful and align with CFC’s mission and goals.

Administrative Responsibilities:

·        Attend staff meetings, program leadership meetings, and other in-service training as required.

·        Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall mission and success of Champions for Children.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

·        BA/BS degree in business/nonprofit management, communications, marketing, social work, or a related field.

·        Minimum of 3 years’ experience in development, fundraising, or a similar role; experience in nonprofit or community-focused work is a plus.

·        Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with corporate partners, volunteers, and community organizations.

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to craft persuasive messages for various audiences.

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, social media platforms, and fundraising software; experience with Canva is a plus.

·        Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary; reliable transportation throughout Tampa Bay is required.

·        Physical ability to walk, stand, climb stairs, kneel, bend, reach, and move materials up to 10 pounds regularly, and up to 20 pounds infrequently.

·        Sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic diversity of the population served by Champions for Children.

·        Must have a reliable car, active auto insurance, and a valid Florida driver’s license with a good driving record.

·        Must successfully complete a criminal background check, motor vehicle records check, and drug screening.
