GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Summary: Provides delivery of clinical services to the clients of Brookwood Florida, Inc. Involves some administrative and program development duties including planning, implementing, and monitoring agency components and assisting in the maintenance of high-quality program standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Interfaces with referral and placement sources, maintaining open communications.
Maintains a caseload, providing direct counseling services.
Performs intake and placement coordination to new clients as needed.
Evaluates clients for eligibility for Behavioral Health Overlay Services.
Supervises the development of the education and employment plans with clients and interfaces with school and work authorities to assure successful completion of goals.
Assists in the supervision of case work services and other counselors in providing these services to the young women residing at Brookwood and their families.
Organizes the work of the employees involved in counseling services to clients.
Plans workloads, workflows, deadlines, work objectives and time utilization with counselors.
Makes recommendations for new programs and improvements in existing programs to meet client needs more effectively and more efficiently.
Provides oversight of client progress through the Brookwood Levels System and the Life Skills Packets toward independent living and emancipation.
Assures adherence to the savings and budgeting programs for clients pursuing independence.
Responsible for reviewing all case records in accordance with the requirements· of funding/monitoring agencies and compiling necessary reports.
Responsible for maintaining ·confidentiality, good rapport with young women, staff and community agencies and work cooperatively with them.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

SKILLS/ABILITIES

Knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws, rules and ordinances.

Knowledge of child caring program services and clinical practices.

Knowledge of methods of developing/maintaining clinical records.

Knowledge of treatment modalities, psychological terminology and diagnoses criteria.

Ability to function independently while contributing to a total team effort.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATIONAL:      Masters Degree in Human Services field including Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Rehabilitation Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy.

LICENSURE: Requires Florida licensure as LMHC, LMFT, or LCSW

EXPERIENCE:         A minimum of one year experience with a troubled youth population.
