Certificate in Fund Development Leadership Application

The Certificate in Fund Development Leadership requires completion of the core training classes plus at least 20 hours of elective coursework. Required core trainings:

  • Develop a Winning Fundraising Strategy (formerly known as Components of Successful Fund Development)
  • Secrets to a Better Annual Giving Strategy (formerly known as Raising MORE Money from LESS Donors and as Sustainability Through Annual Giving)
  • Getting to Yes: Best Practices for Major Gift Fundraising (formerly known as Raising Major Gifts)
  • Develop a Winning Case for Support (formerly known as Making Your Case for Support)
  • Approach Fundraising Like a Team Sport (formerly known as Involving Your Board and CEO in Fund Development: Creating the Ultimate Partnership)
  • Lead Your Fundraising Program to New Heights (formerly known as Leadership of a Fund Development Program)

Participants must complete a minimum of 20 hours of elective coursework selected from the Nonprofit Leadership Center’s curriculum to receive the certificate (the Fundraising 101: Certificate in Fund Development Fundamentals training, cohort programs, conferences, and custom trainings are not eligible for elective course credit). Upon completion of the required coursework, participants should apply for the Certificate in Fund Development Leadership by completing the form below. Each participant has up to two years to complete requirements and apply for the certificate. Once completing the application below, please allow 3 business days to be contacted by a staff member. Elective coursework can be from other Nonprofit Leadership Center program areas or other Fund Development Academy offerings, except Fund Development Fundamentals programs, Forums, Conferences, and the Annual Leadership Conference. Custom Training sessions by NLC or privately hosted trainings delivered by the NLC may not be applied to the electives or requirements of this Certificate. Upon completion of the required coursework, participants should apply for the Certificate in Fund Development Leadership by completing the form below.
