Starting:
Much is said about the importance of strategic planning for nonprofits. Yet, 67% of strategic plans don’t get implemented, collecting figurative dust on organizational shelves.
During this interactive course with nonprofit strategy expert, Liz Wooten-Reschke, you’ll receive a behind-the-scenes glimpse of what makes a successful – or disastrous – strategic planning process. Together with her clients, Liz has led more than 100 strategic planning projects that bring together board leaders, staff, and community stakeholders.
This session focuses on the following elements to prepare you for a successful strategic planning process:
Walk away with resources on planning dynamics, rightsizing assessments, and designing a retreat that engages, not bores, board members. Upon completion, you’ll have the leadership tools necessary to design, develop and implement your strategic planning process when you return to the office.
Who should attend?
If you’re a nonprofit leader who’s new to strategic planning, updating a plan in the next six months, working with an outdated plan, or struggling to operationalize your current plan, this course is for you.
