If you have completed the Dare to Lead™ training and are hungry to continue your courageous leadership journey, this is the training for you. In this interactive class led by TedX speaker and Certified DTL Facilitator Liz Wooten-Reschke, you will explore how to implement four courageous leadership tools with your staff, board and volunteers that will help you navigate courageous conversations, promote authenticity and grow your self-awareness.
After this course, you will:
- Understand the components of empathy and recognize common barriers to empathy (empathic misses) that interfere with meaningful connection and self-compassion.
- Learn the daring leadership skills that help guide tough conversations, including giving and receiving feedback.
- Examine how to use the BRAVING inventory to understand and discuss the elements of trust and continued cultivation of Living BIG (boundaries, integrity, and generosity).
- Discuss the Rising Strong process and its critical role in developing rising skills, including curiosity, emotion and meaning.
Who should attend?
Any nonprofit leader who has previously completed the Dare to Lead™ training at the Nonprofit Leadership Center or has completed the Dare to Lead™ course with Liz as their trainer in a separate setting. Completion of one of those Dare to Lead™ trainings is a prerequisite to the Dare to Lead™ 2.0 training.

If you use a CBHC code to register for an NLC event, you will be responsible for paying the registration and processing fees if you do not show up for the class. Please read the full no-show policy here.

Health Protocols for In-Person Classes
The health and safety of all visitors, students, trainers and staff is our top priority.
NLC uses targeted cleaning protocols in our Training Room and office space.
- Any person who is feeling unwell or suspects they have been exposed to contagious illness is asked to refrain from attending in-person training events.
- COVID-19: If you are not feeling well on the day of your training or are aware of exposure (within the previous 10 days) to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, we ask that you cancel or reschedule your visit with us, whether or not you appear to be experiencing symptoms of illness.
- If you need to cancel for this reason, please notify us, and we will be happy to provide program credit equivalent to the registration fees already paid.
