Work, Interrupted: Take Back Control of Your Workday

About This Event

Starting:

Wed, March 22, 2023
In-Person

Do you want greater control over your time, and ultimately, your life? Studies show that during an average workday, a person can lose up to three hours to interruptions and time mismanagement. By identifying your most common daily disruptions and developing strategies to manage them, you can take back control over your day and increase your productivity — all while minimizing work-related stress.

Managing interruptions has a lot more to do with discipline than being organized, and discipline is a skill anyone can learn. This class is perfect for every nonprofit professional, especially program directors and managers, executive leadership, volunteer managers, and fundraisers.

In this session, you will:

  • Learn surprisingly easy and practical solutions to become less stressed, more productive and more successful
  • Explore real-life experiences and strategies for how to handle work interruptions
  • Discover how to add extra time to your day

$259.00 Only $84 (when logged in) thanks to the support of our funders.

This event is being held IN-PERSON at our training room in Tampa, FL.

Registration closes at 11:55 p.m. Eastern on March 20, 2023.

Margarita Sarmiento is an award-winning international trainer and speaker, certified leadership coach and author. Three major career shifts as a result of reorganizations and lay-offs gave rise to more than 30 years of management and training experience in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors. These life changes have provided Margarita with the unique ability to intuitively connect with people by sharing her expertise through personal stories and firsthand knowledge.

After one of her job-pivots, Margarita found she was providing training and coaching to friends and colleagues. At their encouragement, she decided to start ITK Consultants. Now more than 15 years later, she has been called on to successfully consult and train in a variety of industries, including hospitality, health care, social service, transportation, finance, insurance, law enforcement, government, and education. She continues to design and deliver customized programs to influence positive change.

Margarita is the author of Managing Courageously: Serving Others Authentically While Leading from the Middle Office and co-author of SPARKS: Lessons from the Experts.

A native of Cuba and graduate of Florida State University, Margarita is a naturalized citizen of the United States and an admirer of different cultures, traditions and perspectives. She loves her Cuban American family and may be guilty of highlighting them in some of her stories.
