ORGANIZATION MISSION: The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast is to provide high-quality, out-of-school Club experiences to ensure our young people, especially those who need us most, are on track to graduate from high school with a plan for their future, demonstrate good character & citizenship, and live a healthy lifestyle.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Resource Development Specialist will work closely with the Resource Development Director, the Director of Grants, the Director of Communications and the Chief Resource Development Officer to generate revenue streams through implementing fund raising projects, coordinating corporate volunteer opportunities and coordination of our annual gala. The incumbent must be able to seek new opportunities to generate revenue and utilize resources that add greater value to the organization and the community, including the ability to understand and contribute to the product development process.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and execute high-quality fundraising and engagement events to deepen BGCS’s connection to the community.

• Coordinate the details of BGCS’s Annual Gala; including venue, sponsors/guests; vendors, live and silent auctions, communications, and all items associated with event management.

• Provide volunteer and advocacy opportunities to corporations and civic groups by creating BGCS Volunteer Program which includes volunteer sign-up and engagement, training for a fulfilling volunteer experience.

• Update the MyClubHub database with pertinent donor information, segment donors & relationships, and input communication notes (CRM).

• Send acknowledgements, build a stewardship plan, pull reports, create mail merge lists, manage all aspects of the Donor Database.

• Analyze donor data to determine strategic course of action to retain and cultivate top supporters, be able to assess donor’s intent and accurately convey the information to cross-functional team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.

• A minimum of two years’ work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar not-for-profit organization with an emphasis on fundraising, marketing, management, budgeting, community, and public relations.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Must be comfortable presenting information to different audiences in one-on-one and group settings.

• Customer service oriented with proficiency in developing and maintaining strategic relationships.

• Must be proficient using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Zoom and CRM systems.

TRAVEL:

Travel will be required to multiple Club facilities throughout Pinellas County for training and/or other business purposes as well as travel to donor sites and fundraising locations.
