Salary and benefits: The salary offer is commensurate with experience and may be within a range from $74,000 – $110,000. Relocation support and/or benefits assistance may be available.

Executive Director

We are going through some exciting new changes to provide a learning center for excellence to the special needs community. Our vision includes utilizing our facilities for retreats, meeting spaces, an art and play room, yoga & dance room, kitchen, gardens, farming, horse arena, equine therapy, and wide open spaces allowing for peace and serenity.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Director to lead and expand the impact of our non-profit organization located in Clearwater, Florida.  The Executive Director will be responsible for providing organizational leadership, overseeing program development and implementation, and carrying out its mission and vision.

Position Overview:

Under the general direction of the Board of Directors, the Executive Director serves as chief executive officer. The Executive Director is responsible for organizational planning and management toward the fulfillment of the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Strategic Plan.  Core areas of responsibilities include Operations and Administration, Program Development, Fundraising and Development, and Board support.

Desired Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in business administration or other related degree; *significant relative direct experience can replace the degree requirement

·         A motivated self-starter able to plan and execute with minimal guidance

·         Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the management of a non-profit organization or a function within a non-profit organization

·         Demonstrated experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation

·         Sound business development and strategic planning acumen

·         Demonstrated record of successful fundraising activity and the ability to cultivate and sustain a strong fundraising program to enhance financial support for the Center and its initiatives.

·         Strong knowledge of non-profit management, either gained educationally or through experience, and demonstrated experience working with and for non-profit boards and board governance.

·         Proficient in budgeting, financial management, and grant writing/reporting

·         Strong fiscal management with a good understanding of financial statements

·         Experience in growing and promoting a venue for maximum participation

·         Experience in the area of equine therapy and special needs helpful (not required)

·         Equine herd management experience and/or knowledge helpful (not required)

·         Public speaking experience and demonstrated ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner to people of all ages.
