Position Summary:

This is a professional clinical position responsible for providing clinical leadership and direction of clinical assessments, diagnostics and screenings for all outpatient programs; maintain accepted standards of clinical practice throughout the agency; and provide administrative and professional supervision of all of the Clinical Quality Assurance Reviewer and Clinical Assessment staff.

The Clinical Director will oversee clinical operations, regulatory compliance, and ensure high quality client care for Directions for Living services. The Clinical Director is responsible for providing clinical oversight, devising strategies to that adhere to legal and quality standards, and internal policies. This includes ensuring that the Clinical Quality Assurance Reviewers are completing, reviewing and approving, all bio-psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and other documentation and assessments as required and ensuring clinical assessments and plans comply with documentation standards and all regulatory requirements. The Clinical Director will be a Clinical subject matter expert ensuring that all client assessments and plans focus on appropriate interventions, utilizing natural supports and ensuring that all services emphasize individualized treatment planning that is strength based. The Clinical Director will understand the overall quality management system at DFL and will seek to not only promote compliance, but strive for quality in all clinical assessments and planning and will identify opportunities for continuing clinical education, support and growth of the clinical team members. The Clinical Director must have excellent communication and organizational skills, and be able to work collaboratively with other DFL team members. This is a clinic-based position. This position reports to the Senior Director of Outpatient Services.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

Must hold a Master’s Degree Social Work or related area of study from an accredited university.
Florida licensure as a LMFT, LMHC or LCSW required (minimum of 3 years holding a Florida license as a LMFT, LMHC or LCSW) with 5+ years’ experience in clinical assessments, diagnostics and other screenings.
A minimum of five years of experience working with at-risk populations to include families experiencing substance misuse, domestic violence, mental health, and emotionally disturbed children.
Must have a minimum of 2-5 years of documented supervisory experience
Previous child welfare experience is preferred.
Previous experience with Avatar (Electronic Health Record) a plus.
