Job Title:  Development Coordinator

Work Location: This is a Hybrid position working three days remote and two in office (negotiable).

Office Location:  2606 Fairfield Ave S, Bldg. 7, St. Petersburg, FL  33712

Summary of Role:

The Development Coordinator supports the Development Department in a key role and is instrumental in coordinating with the team, both internally and externally. This position will need to be able to work as part of the integrated team and independently on projects and programs that are within their daily responsibility. Must be able to discreetly handle sensitive and confidential information. This position reports to the Director of Development.

Specific Responsibilities:

-Day to day Neon One CRM database including:

·         Input- donor files.

·         Managing all donor information.

·         Moves management within the system ensure donors and prospects are being moved to the solicitation phase.

·         Manage moves management coordination to Support development events as needed; before, during & after.

·         Gift/payment processing and tracking.

·         Donation tracking and acknowledgement.

·         Analysis.

·         Database clean-up.

-Prepare and oversee mailing of invitations for donor and sponsor events, RSVPs, maintain guest lists and assist in registration during events.

-Prepare development reports, tracking budget and financial performance with Director of Development oversight.

-Support Philanthropy Committee meetings by sending out meeting invitations, taking minutes, and follow up communications.

-Coordinate and set up interactions for prospective donors.

-Manage Giving Societies to ensure recognition and benefits are fulfilled in a timely fashion.

-Direct fund-raising responsibilities to include managing donors under $500 and maintaining fundraising materials/packets required for proposals and donor meetings.

Experience Requirements:

·         Two years’ experience as an administrative assistant or similar role.

·         Strong organization, project, and time management skills. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, within strict deadlines.

·         Ability to communicate concisely & effectively.

·         Demonstrated ability to work independently, follow instructions and anticipate next steps.

·         Must be able to think logically and solve problems diplomatically with minimal guidance.

·         Ability to maintain a positive attitude with donors, partners, and teammates, even in the face of adversity.

·         Problem solver with strong project planning, management, and execution skills.

·         Ability to communicate and embrace the FWCF mission and translate concepts into development opportunities.

Experience Preferred:

·         Not for profit environment experience.

Educational/Certification Requirements:

·         High School Diploma or equivalent

Educational/Certification Preferred:

·         A bachelor’s degree in business or administration.

·         Environmental studies /understanding of Florida’s Flora/Fauna

Computer Program/Resource Requirements:

·         Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

·         Experience with CRM Software

Computer Program/Resource Preferred:

·         Neon One

Physical/Driving Requirements:

·         Must have valid driver’s license and insurance.

·         Must be able to lift up-to 50lbs.

Travel Requirements:

·         Some travel to events or field locations around the state of Florida; no more than 10% total.

Language Requirements:

·         English proficiency for written and spoken.
