Description / Details:

Objective

Under the leadership of the Vice President, Member Engagement generates non-dues revenue through sponsorships for all Chamber events/programming and leads the Small Business of the Year Awards program.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for generating new and maintaining existing sponsorships for all Chamber events to meet and/or exceed budget
  • Responsible for coordinating sponsorships requirements with Chamber staff with oversight of the specific programming
  • Meets with key investors annually to review their past investments and build plan for the future
  • Regularly audit and update the sponsorship database to maintain accuracy and comprehensiveness
  • Regularly audit and update the sponsorship packet
  • Foster collaboration between departments to enhance event programming and sponsorship opportunities, sharing insights and resources
  • Responsible for all programmatic aspects of the Chambers Small Business of the Year Programming
  • Coordinates with Events Team all aspects of the Small Business of the Year Awards Ceremony
  • Meet budget and specific sales goals as set out annually
  • Update database information as required
  • Works cooperatively and positively with all Chamber staff members and volunteers to promote an environment of excellence
  • Documents all work processes and procedures thoroughly and accurately
  • Assist with Chamber events as needed
  • Other tasks as requested

Specifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience in sales or fundraising, preferably in the Tampa Bay Region
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Aptitude to work under nondues revenue sales quota pressure and deadlines
  • Must conduct yourself in a professional manner
  • Able to perform job functions and tasks with a minimum of daily supervision, must be a self-starter
  • Able to multi-task
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office software
  • Able to learn and effectively and efficiently use Chamber management and database software

Relationships/Accountabilities

  • Accountable to Vice President, Member Engagement and the team to coordinate all sponsorship to ensure all budgets are met and sponsorships are secured by deadline
  • Accountable to Sponsors to ensure that their sponsorship provides the expected ROI
  • Accountable to SBOY Chair and all participants to ensure that the awards selection process is transparent, fair and equitable
  • Works cooperatively and positively with all Chamber staff members and volunteers to promote an environment of excellence, teamwork, dignity and respect.
  • Exhibits a total commitment to maintaining high quality service standards of the Tampa Bay Chamber; demonstrates service excellence skills in dealing proactively with members, visitors, colleagues, and all Chamber contacts.
