Job Summary/Objective:
The Member Relations Manager will lead the planning and implementation of outreach initiatives, programs, and events aimed at engaging and retaining current members, attracting new members, and securing sponsorships for member activities. This position will focus on building strong relationships to support the long-term growth of the Partnership’s membership base and will help communicate and develop innovative member benefits.
Essential Job Duties
· Manage and execute the Partnership’s signature membership events such as the Annual Meeting & luncheon, State of Tampa’s Downtown Forum, Urban Excellence Awards, and reoccurring events such as Debriefing breakfasts, behind the scenes tours and Member Mixers
· Secure sponsorships for signature membership events
· Generate and maintain potential member prospect leads through a variety of sources
· Compile membership packets and work to identify and develop member recruitment and retention collateral materials
· Maintain regular communication with the membership base via direct contact and email blasts such as the monthly member newsletter
· Serve as staff support to the Membership Engagement Committee to implement new initiatives, recruit and retain new members, and ensure benefits and events effectively serve all members
· Responsible for compiling member engagement committee meeting notes, sending follow-up correspondence and tracking committee membership recruitment progress
· Manage billing for membership renewals
· Participate in the development of member related content for social media and conduct regular reviews of membership section of the Partnership website
· Track and maintain member participation and engagement statistics by creating data that clearly illustrates member involvement
· Flexibility to accommodate occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekend hours

Required Education, Experience and Competencies: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational or professional experience related to job summary, Minimum two years of direct interaction with senior level leaders, community members and Board engagement, Proven experience in securing sponsorships, Minimum two years of event execution related to all aspects of event planning, with ability to multi-task with accurate details, Proficient in professional letter writing and drafting communication notices, with attention to detail, Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs, Outlook, Adobe, and Constant Contact.

The Tampa Downtown Partnership administers the Special Services District program through an annual contract with the City of Tampa. Through the Special Services District program, the Partnership works to promote the downtown experience through a multitude of initiatives such as marketing, business development, transportation, planning and beautification, as well as maintenance and safety with Tampa’s Downtown Guides and Clean Team. The Partnership also works with numerous agencies to identify opportunities and facilitate opportunities for collaboration, advocacy, and strategic planning for issues related to Tampa’s Downtown.
