The Nonprofit Leadership Center is thrilled to announce two well-deserved promotions for staff members Meriel Martínez and Jamiel Maze.
Meriel Martínez Assumes New Position as Director of Programs & Inclusion
Meriel Martínez has been promoted to director of programs and inclusion at the Nonprofit Leadership Center.
In her new position, Meriel will lead all of the organization’s program strategy, playing a larger role in driving strategies that support impact and innovation. She will supervise the program operations manager and join the organization’s senior team.
Meriel will continue to lead the organization’s commitment to implementing DEI practices internally and externally, including serving as the staff liaison to the board for DEI.

I believe in the quality of the work that they do and the passion they put into it. But I also really appreciate them as human beings. Jamie Maze Promoted to Resource Development Manager
Jamiel Maze has been promoted to resource development manager at the Nonprofit Leadership Center.
In this role, Jamiel will provide strategic direction to increase revenue and community awareness for NLC and its programs, managing grant-writing, sponsorships, donor stewardship efforts, and community outreach.
Additionally, Jamiel will collaborate with NLC’s communications partner to enhance program visibility and awareness.
“My favorite thing about working at the Nonprofit Leadership Center is definitely the culture,” Jamiel says. “We have a small but mighty team, and everyone’s part is so important. While we all play different roles, we all support each other. We foster a culture of learning. We don’t just talk about it, we actually do it internally as we strive to be leaders among leaders.”
