Five generations are now active in the philanthropic marketplace. Learn the giving patterns and values of each generation and how you can best work with donors of all age groups – from the newest, Gen Z, through Millennials, Gen X, Boomers and the Silent/Great generation.

Join new NLC trainer Jennifer Preston to explore why generational understanding is important, identify and describe the generational differences and their impact on giving, and highlight the impact on your work with donors.

Jennifer Preston serves as the Chief Advancement Officer for Henderson Community College. She has over 15 years of nonprofit experience including time with Mesker Park Zoo, St. Anthony’s Hospice and Downtown Henderson Project. During her time with those organizations she successfully completed several capital campaigns and developed annual funds along with planned giving programs. She is a graduate of University of Southern Indiana, completed her Certificate of Fundraising Management from Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy and is currently pursuing her masters in Organizational Leadership from Western Kentucky University. Jennifer resides in St. Petersburg with her husband and 10-year-old daughter.
