Strong accounting is the foundation for a successful nonprofit organization. This important course introduces professionals with little to no accounting experience to accounting basics that build your confidence, including key terminology and vocabulary, designing a chart of accounts, recordkeeping, and financial reporting.

This class is a valuable precursor to prepare you to take the Nonprofit Leadership Center’s Certificate in Nonprofit Financial Management.
Who should attend?
This course is designed for professionals with little to no accounting experience. Stakeholders from organizations that file 990 postcards or 990-EZs and are looking to be ready to file a full 990 in the future would benefit from this course. Any individual involved in or overseeing the bookkeeping processes for a nonprofit organization, such as administrative professionals, executive directors, or board members would also benefit from Intro to Nonprofit Accounting.
