POSITION SUMMARY
The Development Coordinator plays a key role in supporting fundraising at Chi Chi Rodriguez Youth Foundation by assisting with communications, marketing, social media content and events. This position requires an individual who is energetic, customer-focused, and able to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Provides friendly, donor-centered customer service and always represent the Foundation’s mission in a professional and positive manner
· Works in partnership with the Development Team and Branding Team to set departmental priorities and media strategies
· Creates and manages all components of online communications, electronic and social media outlets
· Keeps website content current
· Works with Development Team on all fundraising events
· Creates save the dates, sponsorship packages, and any marketing for and during fundraising events
· Collaborates with other departments to identify and create awareness stories
· Helps implement donor appreciation and recognition activities
· Manages and distributes all inkind donations, including working with Development Team on auction requests
· Supports timely distribution of all communications
· Helps with implementation of donor database Bloomerang (training provided)
· Serves as the Youth Foundation photographer when necessary
· Collaborates with Chi Chi Academy Student Services Coordinator on student and family extracurricular events
· Serves as a shadow teacher to the Chi Chi Rodriguez Academy students 45 minutes per week as assigned
· Performing other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Knowledge of technology with excellent keyboard skills
· Experience with Microsoft Business Office Suites notably Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point, Outlook, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
· Knowledge of Squarespace and Word Press website design and implementation
· Strong writing skills are a big plus
· Level 2 Background Check
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree or three to five years equivalent experience in marketing/sales, customer relations and/or the non-profit industry
