The Nonprofit Leadership Center is pleased to welcome Andre Curry to our board of directors. Andre is an experienced healthcare professional with a strong background in emergency nursing and a passion for community engagement. He currently serves as senior field marketing manager for the West Florida region at Florida Blue, where he and his team create meaningful community experiences through outreach and engagement.

Andre is no stranger to the Nonprofit Leadership Center. In 2022, he successfully participated in the organization’s nonprofit board fellowship. Now, he has the opportunity to put his strong governance skills to work to foster leadership development in the nonprofit sector.

In addition to working on-call in the emergency department at AdventHealth Tampa, Andre serves as an adjunct nursing instructor at Hillsborough Community College and is an active member of the Patient Community Advisory Council at Premier Community HealthCare. Andre holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from St. Petersburg College and in biology from Saint Leo University. He also received his MBA in healthcare management from Saint Leo University.

Outside of work, Andre enjoys traveling, music and the arts, and spending time with his family.

"I am honored to serve on the Nonprofit Leadership Center’s board because I am passionate about empowering people and organizations that make a meaningful impact in our community. NLC’s commitment to developing strong, capable leaders aligns with my own values. I’m excited to contribute my expertise to help foster sustainable growth and positive change, while advancing the Nonprofit Leadership Center's influence and reach in the communities we serve."
