Know Your Why, Find Your Joy

Every day, we are bombarded with messages that a life without purpose is a life without direction and meaning. The pressure is on, personally and professionally.

Knowing your purpose can unlock your superpower. Nonprofit leaders know this firsthand. But that doesn’t make it any less challenging to invest in your development, individually and collectively.

In this inspiring, interactive keynote, entrepreneur Shabnam Mogharabi gets real about how purpose, connection and community can bring more joy into your life and work. By pulling lessons from her own experience leading a purpose-driven entertainment studio, SoulPancake, as well as digging into the tools of positive psychology, Shabnam will help attendees refine their personal “why,” build more meaningful connections in their community, and discover more joy along the way.

Conquering Board Culture for Mission Impact

The renowned Peter Drucker may have said it best: “Culture eats strategy for breakfast.”  Yet, culture is often overlooked when it comes to effective board governance. This session will provide key questions and strategies every board should consider to ensure board members are empowered to participate fully and advance mission impact.
